Dinner at Wim's place

Thu night, which would be the last day of Ramadhan in NL, the MI team was invited to have dinner at Wim's place.... That would be Kim (leaving for US tomorrow - Fri), Wouter and girlfriend Ailena (not sure if the spelling is correct) and me.

We were supposed to leave between 4:15 and 4:30 to avoid traffice as Wim stays about 1.5 hours away from The Hague's office (didnt really get where)... but I thought I should just go ahead with Asar prayer at 4:21 before we depart.... so we were running a bit late. But fortunately traffic wasnt THAT bad... phewwww

Behind Wim's house is a nice view of the place - there's even a canal. And Kim & Wim from the back view of the house

Wim's (or actually Joyce's) garden - there's a pond with lots of fish in it

The lovely hosts (married for 36 years!!) - Wim & Joyce. And Wim at playing cello for us. He's really good!

Wouter & long-time girlfriend Ailena... and all of us after a hearty meal!

By the time waktu berbuka.... I had orange juice (the rests have had a round of red wine or whiskey)... and when dinner is ready... they had fish (main dish) with rice, potatoes, salads, beans and a special chili sauce for me & Kim.... actually Wouter had it too!!! Sedappppp!!

Second round..... 2 scoops of ice cream (mango and minty flavored) with whipped cream! yummyyy of things
Third round was a choice of tea that Wim and Joyce had bought in China during their recent tour... Either the "spinach-taste" or the lychee-taste. I chose the latter.... sedap jugak! Not forgetting, a plate of chocolates!!!

We talked about a lot of things and Wouter was quite surprised that I've travelled places (probably more Europe than even he has covered!). Wim even asked us to join him again but this time to see the Dyke (?).. where bad flooding happened in NL... (besides, Holland is below is sea level, remember?).. so next time....

We left Wim's place around 10:15 pm! And another 1+ hour for the ride home... (kesian budak2 kat rumah tunggu agaknya)

Tapi...... esok Hari Raya!
