We finally made it to the beach!!!

Yesterday was a rather laid-back day for me in the office... I was deserted because all the Competence Center team - where I'm being posted to here - attend this workshop. And there's nothing much to do... so I headed home quite early... lagipun it was a rather nice day and decided to take them all out to the beach front....

The Pier in the background.. very close to our apartment

Believe it or not... it's a looooooong stretch of the beach... and the pier... I think there's a pancake house at the pier but will check it out later after Ramadhan.... and if you guys are up to bungy jumping into the sea water... hey! U can do it here too!! But in this cold weather??? I'm not so sure.... U'd probably freeze your head as it touched the sea water.... haa haa haaa

Enjoy some of the photos along the beach area.....

Sea Life is very close by but didnt think we would enter at this time..... and the pier - the restaurant

Meen quite enjoyed the cold weather, refusing the jacket most of the time. Next is the Kurhaus Complex

The many restaurants along the beach.... and the other side of the Pier (the one for Bungy jumping)

We actually went up to the open air with Kurhaus in the background. And inside with the restaurant view

Care to bungy-jumping? Haikal seems to be enjoying his outing, huh?

And all of them outside - before it gets too chilly & we head "home"

One thing I noticed about the people here - after a week's observation...

1) They practice healthy lifestyle... most of them, and I tell you a whole lot of them, cycle to work. You'd even see dads & moms hold on to the children's bike and together they cycle alongside each other. Of course, there's a special route for cyclists.....

2) Even though, tram tracks, vehicles roads and cycle paths cross each other.... they KNOW their rights (and strong civic-mindedness) that you dont see accidents happening. If in KL?? You dont even feel safe letting your children ride bicycles in our housing area!!!!

3) They have lots of land... and the parks are beautiful.... and autumn is almost here so you see leaves turning colors.... sooooo pretty!

Will keep posting...................
